DBC Academy "Competitive & Performance Company"

Our dance company is for more serious dancers who are interested in dancing at a competitive level.

The dance team will participate in three to four competitions a year, and will also dance at fun, local Austin-area performances. We are a family friendly, company that takes honor and respect for dancers, their families and others around us very seriously. DBC Academy offers a nurturing atmosphere dedicated to the creative art of dance and performance. Our goal is to build self-confidence, poise, and group respect, while providing our new generation with a healthy way of life. ​Our dance schedule is built to help our dancers maintain a healthy balance between academics and after school sports. Keeping up their grades in school is most important, therefore dancers must be passing all classes in school to participate in DBC Academy.

We hold auditions in August and September. The dancers will be placed in age appropriate skill groups that are formed by technique. Private lessons are available for dancers who are trying to achieve a group and may need extra work to secure their placement.

Beginner- Pre-Team

(2 hours a week mandatory hours) 

With additional technique classes. In Ballet, Acro, Core & Skill etc.)

 

Beginner/Intermediate - Level 1

(4 hours a week mandatory hours)

Level 2

(4-8 hours a week mandatory hours)

With additional technique classes. In Acro, turns, leaps etc.)

 

Level 3

(5-8 hours a week mandatory hours)

With additional technique classes. In Ballet, Acro, Core & Skill etc.)

 

Level 4

(5-8 hours a week mandatory hours inclduing Pre-Pointe and Pointe)

With additional technique classes. In Ballet, Acro, Core & Skill etc.)

 

Level 4/5 - Advanced

(6-10 hours a week mandatory hours including Pointe and contemporary) With a requirement of All Super Group, Company and Solo routines.
